Norm of social is a common habit that could be a boundaries among civilized people in a certain area. Every people has the rights to do what ever they want but still depends on how they treat people. The existence of this norm in society is very important because every people must treat the others like his/her self.
Norm is prohibited, anyone who doesn't act like what social of norm said, will be punish. Norm is made by society as social individual.
THE NORMS OF SOCIAL THAT APPLICABLE IN INDONESIA
· Norm of Religious, rule of life that accepted as the commandments, prohibitions and suggestions which come from God. For the example is:
1. “you can’t kill a person”.
2. “you have to respect your parents”.
3. “you must pray”
· Norm of Morality, rule of life that considered as human conscience. For the example is:
1. “you have to be honest”.
2. “you must be nice to each other”.
3. “you can’t kill a person”
· Norm of Polite, rule of life come from a class of human interaction which followed the guidelines that arrange human behavior toward the environment (example: young people should respect the elder)
· Norm of Law, a rule which contains some commands or prohibitions that arrange the order of the society or country. (Example: a theft, murder and rape)
VIOLATION OF NORMS
According to Robert M.Z. Lawang deviant of behavior is all of action that deviating from prevailing in the system of norms and cause of their business that authorities in that system to fix the deviant of behavior.
According to James W. Van Der Zanden deviant of behavior is behavior for some people regarded as something reprehensible and beyond the limits of tolerance.
Law is usually stated in the form of written rules, also called laws - laws. Laws - laws that are both national and local regulations created by formal institutions authorized to make. Therefore, it is very binding legal norms for citizens.
THE REASON WHY PEOPLE BREAK A NORM
1. They don’t know
The commonly reason why someone break a norm is “they don’t know there is a rules”. The reasons looks classic , but every human behavior there are always rules that govern.
2. Won’t to know
A lot of people knows about rule when they do an action but, those people always break the rules. As long as no one bothered, they won’t stop. It will happens until they caught by police.
3. A necessary
People will give a reason why they break a rule because the necessary. That person has no choice, they do that because the condition of economic, social and financial.
4. Can’t handle them self
They can’t handle them self and get mad. The most important for people like this, they have to push their emotion first and law is not important
5. Habit.
Commonly, the punishment they get is not make them realize, but it makes them more clever to do the prohibition again. People like this, has been counting an effect they will get if they do agin with full awareness.
6. A chance
A human was born good and the goodness that exists in every human. And commonly, people always doing nice but, there is always a chance to break a rules.
7. Not agree with existing provisions The reason in this context is concerned with with the principles of a person. But it can’t used as an excuse, because any established rules can’t satisfy everyone.
8. Always right
This person always reject an advice from another person and giving lot of reason they make. Even it has been shown to them there are another rules from the rules they understood.
STUDENT ETHICS
1. Do not talk and discuss during the study
2. Do not dress up nicely and politely
3. Do not plagiarize someone’s task
4. Do not sharing an answer during the examination
5. Do not destroying campus facilities
6. Do not knock the door when student come late
7. Do not broke people’s vehicle
8. Do not take helmet that is not yours
9. Selling an alcohol and drugs at college
10. Smoking, eating, and using handphone inside the class
11. Doing another task when study started
12. Come late to the class more than determined time
13. Talks and discuss during the study
SANCTIONS:
1. Can’t attend the middle and final test
2. Drop out from campus
3. Got a negative appraisal from the lecturer
4. Can’t passed the study
5. Being a topic discussion between students and lecturers
6. Being excommunicated with student around the college
7. Get caught by police and prison
8. If you late, you can’t enter the class
